"TINK"ING MAGIC

Tinker Bell (also known as Tinkerbell in common usage, or Tink for short) is a fictional characte from J.M.Barrie's 1904 play and 1911 novel Peter and Wendy.
Now an animated film is created revolving around tinker bell and her journey in becoming an accomplished fairy. the plot is that
Tinker Bell is born from the first laugh of a newborn baby, and is brought by the winds to Pixie Hollow( GR8 picturisation). She meets the other fairies and learns that her talent is to be a tinker(one who creates machines for the other garden fairies), the fairies who make and fix things. The other tinker fairies try to teach her their craft, but Tink thinks that other fairies' talents are more appealing. She tries to prove her skill at gardening, tending animals(one scene where she tries to teach a baby bird to flu is hilarious), and other crafts, but fails dramatically at all of them. Her misadventures put the whole fairy community behind schedule in their current project: to bring the season of Spring to the mainland(i.e., Our World). But she redeems herself by inventing machines that enable the other fairies to get their work done much faster. She is rewarded for this by being permitted to join the fairies delivering the new season.
Each and every character in the story are well-structured and adds color to the story. The little white Mouse("cheese") is very cute and even influenced me in admiring the mice community. And the scenes where dew drops are used for eye glasses,
Changing the colors of the leaves, moving a sunbeam to melt snow, waking animals from their winter slumber, or giving a patch of sproutlings a sprinkle of water are all within the realm of these seasonal specialists and few other thoughtful acts in the film requires great applause.
though the theme is old("Be True To Yourself"), the way in the which the story is unfolded is beautiful.
The film is yet another a milestone in Walt Disney's history.

Inkheart

INKHEART, STEALS MY HEART

hmmm, JK.Rowling have finished her series and is promising for a new action packed mysteries in the near future. and my days are now empty and my quest for such a book(mystery+magic+action) failed pathetically until i met Cornelia Funke's(3rd best author after J K, & RL Stine) Inkheart in a book exhibition conducted from 1st to 7th dec, 2008(was out of luck till 6th dec and found Inky on the last date).

Inkheart (original title: Tintenherz) is a young adult -child fantasy novel by Cornelia Funke, and the first book of the Inkworld trilogy.

The book is about a 12-year-old girl named Meggie Folchart whose life changes dramatically when she realizes that her father, a bookbinder named Mortimer (Mo), has an unusual ability: when he reads aloud, he can bring characters from books into the real world. Meggie and Mo's adventure takes them throughout Europe, particularly Sweden, and brings them into contact with many unusual characters. The sequel, Inkspell, was released on October 1, 2005, and the third book in the trilogy, Inkdeath was released September 28, 2007 in Germany.

The book is about "true love always conquers evil" and is superb. the characters come alive and touches your heart, the villains(capricorn and his mates) makes you tremble with fear, the ending makes u cry. This book is just perfect for u to cuddle with on a cool rainy day and is best if served with a hot cocoa.

(p.s A movie based on the book is scheduled to be released on January 23, 2009[1] in the US and Canada. Eliza Bennett and Brendan Fraser were the first to be cast. Paul Bettany will play the role of Dustfinger, a fire-eater. Rafi Gavron is set to play Farid, the Arabian boy, who came out of the book 1001 Nights. Jim Broadbent will play the part of Fenoglio, Helen Mirren is set to play Elinor Loredan, and Andy Serkis has been cast as Capricorn. Sienna Guillory will play the part of Resa, Meggie will be played by Eliza Bennett, and Jamie Foreman will be playing Basta. Actress Jessie Cave, who plays Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter series, will play a nymph. Iain Softley will direct the film.)
